Saving money

Sorry I haven't updated in a long time. I deserve the slacker sticker! But, life happens! We got a new puppy! And he is like a new born baby, takes up a lot of time. He is adorable though.

I have been reading books about saving money! Because I think it's important to spend less and save more. I find it funny how this year I think about every little purchase when a few years ago I just bought things without thinking or caring. I have never had dept but I didn't really save to much either. On my time off from blogging I read the book The Duggars: 20 and counting By Michelle and Jim bob Duggar. And I recommend it. It has good parenting tips and good saving money tips. And I found a recipe in the book to make liquid Laundry soap! And I tried it and I love it. I would buy tide or gain (My favorite smell was gains apple mango tango) laundry soap And spend about 10 dollars every week and a half. So about 30 dollars a month. Then I tried there recipe and it cost about 10 dollars to make, with lots of extra ingredients. I haven't used all the soap yet but I would guess it will last me 5-6 months. And it actually smells good too. Here is the recipe: www.duggarfamily.com/recipes.html They have a powdered laundry soap version and fabric softener ideas too. Along with food recipes.

I also read Absolutely Amazing Ways to save money on everything by James L. Paris. And in this book it has a whole bunch of ways to save money. Like: looking good for less, Save money on health care the best deals on furniture and appliances, Investment strategies Ect...

I recommend to all now is the time to be frugal. Even if you don't have to be, you should always be prepared for the future!
